Current Project

Our current project (in which I did nothing but babysit and cheer on Daniel, who used the saw, screws and his mad assembly skills): turn a hideous patio into a happy place!
We´re working on the backyard in babysteps, whenever we find our budget can afford to beautify things. We bought the wood on sale this week and it´s a special kind of wood - one that you don´t have to paint the first year, since it has natural oils that prevent the elements from doing any harm. In time the oil will disappear and the planks will turn gray. That´s when you can pick a nice paint color and seal it with a nice coat of paint for protection. So really, this project won´t be completely done until we´ll have painted everything come next year. Oh well.

Please excues the crappy picture, the sun was going down. Once everything is finished we´ll post a picture of the end result. Nothing better than a nice before and after - and a sad space saved from doom ;) !
