Lavender Fields

Everything smells of lavender. I harvested a LOT of these beautiful purple flowers today and they are currently hanging down from our dining room chandelier (for the lack of a herb drying contraption of any kind). It makes the whole house smell beautiful. I am going to make lavender sugar or try out the lavender-lemon cake recipe I found recently. I made lavender-oatmeal cookies last week and they were delish! Such a wonderful and useful plant to have in your yard. :)
