Christmas Tree 2014

The tree is up (well, it's been up for 2 weeks now, but no time to snap some pictures...). This year it's very traditional, with red and green. All decorations and baubles are plastic this year... super-stylish, I know ;). But it's our first tree that we've had to child-proof. It is still the used, artificial tree that we'd gotten from Dani's parents six or seven years ago. It's been damaged since we got it, and my gazillions of ornaments every year haven't helped the poor tree's branches. The lower branches had been glued on and fallen off several times now. We were going to get a new one, but this year was packed with appointments and Dani had to do a lot of overtime, so we never actually got to go pick out a tree. So this year we put  the tree in a wicker chest, to prevent the lover branches from falling off, and also to keep Flynn from actually pushing the whole tree over. He's very talented like that. It also makes the lowest ornaments hang much higher. It never gets boring here! This makes me wonder how our future tree, home, and myself are going to survive the most decorated season of the year, with a bunch of kids crawling around and playing catch in the living room... .

T'is the season to be jolly!
