Things Flynn does that currently melt my heart:
-the way he hugs his Piggie (best stuffed animal friend) good-morning and gives it kisses
-the way he wants to share his snacks with me (or with Piggie)
-the way he turns on the stereo, waits until the CD starts playing, and then grabs my hand, pulling me towards the middle of the living room to dance with him. Or dances in little circles, all by himself, until he is so dizzy that he falls down
-the way he says 'q' or 'ke' (= thank you or danke) after I hand him a snack or help him with something.
-the way he makes up his own little words and language. Or trying to immitate real words and not doing it quite right just yet.
-the way he always wants to 'help' washing the dishes and ends up splashing and playing and reaaaallly slowing down the actual cleaning process, but looking so busy and diligent being the little helper he is.
-the way he recently discovered he can help me vacuum clean by holding on to the front part and pushing it as I go. Cleaning the floor never took so long before. Oh well.
-the way he says 'ok'
-the way he kisses his daddy good-bye and waves to him, before Dani leaves for work.
-the way he is a little, sneaky intruder when Dani and I hug (and Flynn hugs one of our legs each, trying to push us even closer together, while he is kind of sandwhiched halfway between us)
-the way his little face lights up every time we ask him if he'd like some yogurt for dessert. Seriously, this kid LOVES his yogurt!
-the way he squeals in delight and laughs while running away when playing catch with me or Dani
-the way he folds his little hands when we say family prayers.
-his reaction to the words "Hey Flynn, should we go outside? To the playground?". He gets super excited and runs to the door. Because who needs shoes and a coat? What a waste of time!
-the fact that he hardly ever walks. Anywhere (outside). He eithers runs or stops to stand and look around. But mostly it's running. There's no in-between.
-when we laugh together
-the way his little personality is developing, and him giving me a chance to shape and teach him things that are important to me
-the way he looks when getting a haircut. He hates it...and has no problem letting the rest of the world know it. His mouth looks sooo funny when he is upset about his hair, poor guy. (His next haircut is due in 3 days. At an actual hair salon for the first time. We'll see how it goes... *ominous music already playing in my head*)
-how his love is so unconditional and pure. He is such a great example to me!
-all his little quirks in general
